It was an incredible tournament with lots of stress but I really stayed focused even after posting some big numbers on a few holes. I can't thank you enough for your swing tips, encouragement and support leading up to the tourney. Thank you Coach!!!!

Thank you for your assistance with the review of golf rules and etiquette for our Ladies league. Thank you for your wonderful clinics, but most of all, thank you for being a beautiful person. It was wonderful having you here at Forest Glen. You are a refreshing, warm personality who takes a real interest in the members. Although I never took a lesson from you, I heard wonderful things about your teaching skills. What impressed me so much was how you took the time and effort to learn and to correctly pronounce my name. I hope that management here has the good sense to bring you back next year. Best of luck to you.
Bob

This note is to express my sincere thanks for your inspiring private golf lessons this year. My game has markedly improved and I have more confidence in my swing, chips and putts. I very much appreciated your patience and level of teaching and of course the laughs we shared too. You have been a wonderful addition to the Staff at Forest Glen and both Bob and I wish you success and happiness over the summer months and hope we see you back here next year.

I just had to share this with you. Yesterday at Heritage Bay on the Oak-Pine Course (slope 123) I shot under 100 for the the first time (score 98). Certainly it helped to have a lot fewer penalty stokes because of the design of this course but most important was the fact that the ball was going where I wanted it to go. And that's thanks to you! I really enjoyed our sessions and will always value your help. I can't say that enough. Thanks!

A strange thing happened to me as I was traveling south on I-95 on my way to Florida. I had an epiphany. After many years of being an upper-90's golfer, I decided perhaps it was time to have my local teaching professional take a look at my swing.
I already knew there were flaws in my swing, but I didn't know how to correct them. As a point of reference, the strength of my golf game has always been from 100-yds and in. Getting off the tee has always been a major problem. So, I went into this experience thinking that I needed to work on my woods in order to get more distance off the tee.
My first lesson with the pro, however, provided a different line of thinking. In my initial lesson, we worked on drills that would help me loosen-up my strong right hand and reduce the number of moving parts in my swing. We concentrated mainly on the irons, but drills for hitting the woods were also included. The pro also suggested trying to play, at least initially, future rounds of golf utilizing the drills I was working on and ignoring using the woods completely.
Yes, that's right, no woods. My weapons of choice were the 7-iron, 8-iron, PW and putter. To my amazement and delight, my next four rounds produced scores of 93, 89, 91, and 90(basically, bogey golf). For the first time, I was managing the course, instead of letting the course control me. Needless to say, this process has changed my way of thinking because now instead of pulling out the "BIG DOG" in order to be one of the guys, I now utilize the clubs that I have confidence in and control the distance and accuracy much better.
Although I am giving up distance in some situations, I now manage the course much better. One might ask the question, "Does size really matter?" My answer at this point would have to be, "NO." Instead, I have concluded that I should use the right club given the situation, so that I can manage the course better, rather than the course managing me.
Thanks Kim for all your help!
